Man V Jet - ITV 

South West Athletics Academy were contacted by ITV to be part of a new TV programme called “Its not Rocket Science” to see if a top GB sprinter – Adam Gemili could race a Red Arrow Jet in their home location of Lincolnshire. Sonya, Sam and Jordan travelled up and after a lot of safety checks we set up our portable track on the airfield runway and after practices and checks with the Jets and Adam we were ready to go. Sonya had also brought her starting gun so working with the producer and camera crew started the races with Adam and the jet. There were 3 Jets and 3 races you can see the final TV bit on the page – who do you think won? – enjoy!

Muller Games World Athletics Games

We supported the World Athletics Games event held at the Olympic Park - Stratford. We  ran sprints events throughout. Lots of fun with not only the track, but also a range of jumping, throwing and agility events as well. 

Billy Monger and Jonnie Peackock

We travelled to Donnington Park race track to put our track down and then Billy Monger and Johnny Peacock raced in cars and then on our track. this was for Channel 4 programme  Changing Gear.

Great Ormond Street Family Day

We supported Great Ormond Street with their family day at Stratford London - we had a fun day and lots of families and staff took part 

Man v Tree Climber!

On a cold blustery day in a field near Birmingham Husquavana organised a challenge for GB Sprinter – Harry Aikines-Areetey to race the world pole climbing champion – Grant Gallier. The challenge was set and South West Athletics Academy were asked to provide a suitable running surface over 100m for Harry A-A to run on – so we travelled to the venue with our portable athletics track – it proved to be a cose challenge and was a lot of fun to be part of.

Rio Olympic Event - Trafalgar Square

We were asked by the Brazilian Embassy to support their Olympic and Paralympic Games in Trafalgar Square. We had lots of fun activities and the track was set out in the Brazilian colours.

Great British Sports Show Event 

The Great British Sports Show went was held at a number of venues - this image is from the event at Westpoint, Exeter and we were the central feature of a number of activities for families to come and have a go at a range of different sports and events.

Man v Horse

Working with an advertising company - this was an advert about a GB athlete - Dwaine Chambers racing a race horse. The funny bit was he was wary of the horse and the horse was scared of the track!.
