SWAA Mini London Marathon Trials ( U14, U16, U18)
& 3 Stage Mixed Relays
( U12s - Seniors)
Sunday 15th February 2026
We will be holding our first ever SWAA mini London Marathon Trial & 3 stage mixed road relays on Sunday 15th February 2026. at Westpoint Arena near Exeter

This event will be held under the new age group rules due to linking to the Mini London Marathon in April 2026
​
SWAA Mini London Marathon Trials
Races start at 10am (provisional times listed)
10am Race 1 - Under 14 boys and Girls - 3 laps 2400m
10.25am Race 2 - Under 16 and Under 18 Girls -3 laps 2400m
10.50am Race 3 Under 16 and Under 18 Boys - 3 laps 2400m
11.15am Ambulant and Wheelchair 2 laps - 1600m - all ages

3 Stage Mixed Road relays
Mixed teams of 3 athletes
Races start at 12.15pm each athlete runs 2 laps ( 1600m)
12 noon Race 1 - Under 12s
12.30pm Race 2 Under 14 and Under 16s
1pm -Race 3 onwards ( multiple races depending on entries) Under 18s and Seniors

The first 3 finishers of the mini marathon trials in each age group of under 14s, under16s and under 18s will get automatic selection to the sw team ( as long as athletes are eligible from one of the 7 sw counties of Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.
There will medals for the first 3 finishers in each age group.

Disabled athletes can enter the min London marathon directly but this event is either to take part or as a practice before the event in April in London. There will be medals for each finisher in this event.

The 3 stage mixed road relays
This is a new concept having a short format road event for teams of 3. Each person will run 2 laps - total 1600m each and each team is made up of 1 male and 2 female or 2 female and 1 male runners.
medals will be awarded to the fastest 3 teams in each race

Sportshall Athletics
Sportshall Athletics
Anyone aged 4-11 is welcome to come and have a go at a range of activities including speed jumps, turbo javelins, sparkly shot putts, nerf howlers and racing hurdles. No experience is necessary – just come along and join in the fun. Children receive instruction from fully qualified staff who get them involved in mini competitions. All activities are also fully inclusive for any ability and equipment is brightly coloured and specially adapted.
COMMUNITY EVENTS
Sportshall is an ideal activity for community events. The lively and fun format where people can take part in many different activities on the same day keeps interest levels and activity levels high.
